Sale races today

FIELDS will again be competitive for today’s eight-race meeting at Greenwattle Racecourse.

The first race will be at 1.30pm, the last at 5pm.

The foremost trainers will be represented, but some local horses may be competitive.

Sharyn Trolove’s Hard To Kiss and Magnyte are engaged in maiden events, races one and two respectively.

Ian Hutchins has Poppi Rox for Susie and Geoff Wells engaged in race two and Somethinghappening in race five, with Darren Gauci on board both horses.

The 1700 metre maiden looks ideal for Aldo, which ran second at Sale in January to Top Ravine, which won during the week. He is trained by Jason Bridgman and will be ridden by Daniel Stackhouse.

Race six over 1600m has local representation with Paul Worthington running Rooconi, with Daniel Stackhouse back on board, as well as Tarago Storm with apprentice Ben Thompson claiming.

Alan Douch will be represented by Gift From Heaven, ridden by Brandon Stockdale first up from a spell, while Frankie Stockdale has entered Unique Dream.

Col Butcher has Prospector in the last race, coming off a win last start albeit on a heavy track.
