RACING is at Greenwattle Racecourse this Sunday for the annual Maffra Cup with the running rail back to the true position and nine races programmed.
Dance For Me, trained by Mick Price and to be ridden by Michael Dee, looks a chance in the Super VOBIS three-year-old maiden race, after previously finishing second at Pakenham.
In the fillies and mares race over 1700 metres, Dubrovnik found the 2000m too far last start and is better suited over Sunday’s distance.
Andrew Murray has Valuable Star in the 1100m benchmark 64, to be ridden by Andrew Mallyon, and could improve on its last start second at Sale.
Murray also has Sunday Escape in the 1000m benchmark 78 handicap after 26 weeks off, to be ridden by Matthew Allen. Sunday Escape recently trialled well over 800m and should be cherry ripe.
