Swans back from the bye

FOLLOWING a bye last weekend, Sale United will host Fortuna in what will be a testing encounter this Sunday.

The Morwell-based Orangemen are currently in second place on the Latrobe Valley Soccer League table, one point behind top side Moe United.

Sale sits in ninth place — with two wins, two defeats and two draws — eight points behind Moe.

Pegasus comes into Sunday’s match off a 2-0 victory over Morwell rival Pegasus.

Moe consolidated top spot with a 4-1 victory over Trafalgar Victory.

Newborough-Yallourn United dropped from second to fourth spot following a 3-2 home loss to Traralgon Olympians.

Falcons moved into third place, ahead of NYU on goal difference, with a 8-0 victory over bottom side East Gippsland United in Bairnsdale.

With a 3-0 home win over Churchill United, Monash moved passed the Rams into fifth place.

Traralgon defeated Tyers 2-0.

In other matches this Sunday, Falcons will host Moe in the match of the round, East Gippsland will travel to Churchill, Monash will be at home against Pegasus, Trafalgar will host Traralgon City, and Tyers will welcome NYU.

Olympians will have the bye.
