Magpies move up ladder

SALE moved into sixth place on the Gippsland League A grade netball ladder with a 46-31 win at Warragul on Saturday.

The Magpies are only four points out of the top five.

Despite pouring rain, the match was of a good standard, with players on both teams handling the slippery court and ball with great skill.

Undefeated top side Traralgon defeated Maffra 57-28 at home. The Eagles remain in ninth place with one win.

In the match of the round, fifth-placed Moe held on to defeat fourth-placed Leongatha 43-39.

Morwell, in second place, had a big win over Bairnsdale, 56-24.

Third-placed Drouin, shaping as a threat to the leaders, had a crushing 74-40 victory over Wonthaggi.
