SALE lost its Eastern Zone Premier Netball Competition open division semi-final to Mid Gippsland on Friday night.
Mid Gippsland maintained its dominance on the competition, winning 71-29.
The only negative for Mid Gippsland was star mid courter Georgia Hutchinson being carried from the court midway through the second quarter after landing awkwardly.
Huthinson will undergo an MRI scan on her knee today. Hutchinson has only been back on court for a year after undergoing a reconstruction to her other knee.
Churchill-Traralgon defeated Bairnsdale 44-25 in the other semi-final.
Young goal attack Saskia Eenjes caused havoc with her speed and accuracy for Churchill-Traralgon.
GIPPSLAND looked unbeatable in its 17 and under semi-final, defeating Sale 50-24.
Bairnsdale was made to work for its 58-44 win over North Gippsland. A slow start in the first half was North’s undoing as Bairnsdale capitalised on each opportunity.
THE grand finals will be played at Latrobe Leisure this Friday night.
Sale Black will fight it out against Gippsland Red in the 15 and under grand final from 7pm.
Gippsland coach Jo Ballinger and Sale coach Staci Scott are both involved in the Netball Victoria Coach Pathway and have an enormous amount of experience – they will both be looking to draw the best out of their players.
Undefeated Gippsland will play Bairnsdale in the 17 and under grand final from 7pm, while Mid Gippsland will play Churchill-Traralgon for the open title from 8.30pm.
All spectators will go in to the draw to win four tickets to a Melbourne Vixens Super Netball match.
