Majority don’t want CSG mining

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

It’s not much use having a moratorium for onshore gas mining only for the first half of next year.

What we need is to make it abundantly clear to all these politicians from all sides, and also to Australian Workers’ Union state secretary, Ben Davis, is that the vast majority of people from Gippsland and western Victoria have been saying for a long time that we do not want this ground and water poisoning industry.

No type of technology can be created to make unconventional gas mining safe.

However, I would like to thank all those state MPs and Senator Ricky Muir for their support in placing an outright and permanent ban on all onshore gas mining.
