Little night flying to disturb sleep in Sale

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

TO M. Peters, regarding the letter to the editor headed ‘Night flying disturbs sleep in Sale’.

I think your comments were over the top for someone who has only been living in the area for two months.

My husband and I have been living in Sale for four years now and are in direct line with the RAAF runway.

On the rare occasion a plane will fly in during the day, but we have never had a problem with noise; in fact I love it when the Roulettes fly over the house.

Yes, late night flying training can be a bit disturbing and I have to get up at 4.30am, but the RAAF only does night flying training a few times a year and surely you can understand the need for it, and a night or two of inconvenience is warranted.

So I hope you decide to stay in Sale and settle into a lovely country community.
