LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
THIS is not a letter to the editor complaining about councillors, politicians or even those dreadful barriers.
This is a letter to the public.
I am so tired of the laziness of residents.
It’s not just in Sale, it is everywhere.
What effort is required to put your rubbish bin out the front of your house with the lid completely closed?
The pesky birds that feast from these half closed bins are becoming a disgusting sight to be found all around Sale.
The more the residents refuse to sort their own rubbish into the correct bins, the more crows, ibises and whatever other rodents will just grow in numbers.
The population of crows in the area where I live is horrendous.
I often chase them away and try and shove the lid onto the bins, to try and deter them.
They just watch and return as soon as I walk away.
Is it that much of an effort to sort your recycling from your rubbish?
Or to start a compost bin?
This would then reduce your rubbish, landfill and give your garden some homemade compost. It doesn’t sound all that difficult.
