Another Aussie blast from the past is coming to The Bundy Hall this Friday, December 10, with the Bob Starkie Skyhooks Show taking to the stage.
In 1998 the guitarist from the engine room of the legendary band Skyhooks was inducted into the Aria Hall Of Fame, recognising the significant contribution he and his fellow Skyhooks band members have made to Australian live music.
Moving to South America, Bob Starkie he picked up a Chuck Berry record in Brazil and rediscovered what he thought he had covered in Skyhooks – how to play solid 1950s and 60s guitar.
With reinvented Chuck Berry-esque guitar stylings, he is now re-emerging as a guitarist.
Bob Starkie will be playing what he knows best at Bundy – roots 1950s and 60s and hits from Skyhooks.
The barbecue will fire up at 6pm, with doors opening 7pm.
The Bob Starkie Skyhooks Show (a two and a half hour show), will begin 8pm.
Take your own drinks.
All tickets are $45, available from www.trybooking.com
