IT’S back again! A garage sale at the Bundy Hall, but with a twist – grab those unwanted craft items from your cupboards, attics, drawers and spare rooms and upcycle them.
Lisa Manning from Bundalaguah loves sewing, so she and her friends last October decided to put on a function where the community could buy and sell unused quality craft items at an affordable price. All 25 tables available for stalls were booked out by interested parties very quickly, so she had to put on a waiting list.
Because of popular demand, she’s brought it back to the Bundalaguah Hall, for Sunday, August 11, running from 9am to 1pm. And once again there’s a waiting list because stalls are all booked out.
“The stallholders were very happy with what they sold last year, but still had a lot left over,” Mrs Manning told the Gippsland Times last month.
“Hence why they want to have another one – it was a great success. I would say around 300 people (attended). They all thought it was a great concept.
“With money being a bit tight right now, it’s a good place to pick up a bargain. And schools, elderly villages, kindergartens, aged care and other places that (participate in crafting) may want to come and grab cheap things as well.”
We had Toni Hiskins’ coffee van, Stay Grounded with light refreshments which was a bonus, and she’ll be there again this time.
“Check it out at the Bundalaguah Hall on Sunday August 11, from 9am to 1pm.
Attendance is free. Payments for craft supplies is cash only, and bring your own bags. Call Lisa Manning on 0419 578 402 for more information.
