SALE Children’s Court heard armed robbery charges on Monday when a 16-year-old Sale male was due to face court following a robbery on July 30.
Sale Crime Investigation Unit police alleged the youth approached staff at the United service station on the Sale-Maffra Rd at 1.30am, Wednesday, July 30, armed with a knife and stole a sum of cash. He was arrested on Thursday, August 14, and was bailed to appear in the Children’s Court on Monday.
POLICE are investigating two burglaries in Stratford at the weekend.
Sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning a pressure washer and a car battery charger were taken from a shed at a residential property in McFarlane St.
The items were valued at an estimated total of $550.
Sometime during the weekend, possibly early Sunday morning, a side door at Stratford basketball stadium in Wellsford St was jimmied open.
An offender or offenders rummaged through store rooms and cupboards, but police said it appeared nothing had been taken.
It is the second time the premises have been burgled in two months.
