Damage at Stratford schools

POLICE are investigating damage to electrical equipment at Stratford’s two schools.

On the weekend of September 6 and 7, offenders entered the grounds of Stratford and St Patrick’s primary school and damaged electrical equipment.

At Stratford Primary School, wiring to the garden watering system was cut, while at St Patrick’s wiring in the meter box at the church was cut and a pressure pump and other electrical equipment was tampered with at the school.

Anyone with information about these incidents has been asked to phone Stratford police on 5145 6404 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old Stratford man has been charged with burglary and other offences after breaking into a shed in Stratford in July. He will appear at Sale Magistrates Court in September.
