Motorcyclist airlifted

HEYFIELD police are urging motorcycle riders to watch for changed road conditions after a 44-year-old Morwell man was involved in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday.

The man was riding an off-road motorcycle on Stoney Number Three Track in Seaton when he collided with a log and fell from the bike.

The rider was flown to Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital with spinal injuries and a suspected broken leg.

HEYFIELD police were called to a motorcycle accident in Blores Hill last Friday after a 58-year-old man collided with a kangaroo shortly after dusk.

The man was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital with a suspected broken leg.

Police are urging motorcyclists to be cautious when driving on rural roads.
