SALE police said the Sale Cup on Sunday was a great day out, with only one person escorted from the ground for being heavily intoxicated, and no reports of drink or drugged driving.
“It was a really good day,” Senior Sergeant Geoff Straughen said.
“There was no trouble during or after the event.
“The crowd should be congratulated.
“We took one person out for being drunk but the rest were all on their best behaviour.
“Given that it was a young crowd and the size of the crowd, it was a great day.
“We’ll have a good presence at the Sale Show (this Friday),” he warned.
