WELLINGTON Shire mayor Carolyn Crossley was impressed with the Christmas window displays in Sale’s central business district.
Cr Crossley judged Sale Business and Tourism Association’s Christmas window competition on Wednesday, December 17, with the winners receiving SBTA Shop In Sale vouchers, valued at $150.
Jens Flowers took out the modern design category, while Findlay and Weymouth Pharmacy took out the traditional category. With its line of gingerbread houses and flag in background, Hello Pretty took out the prize for most creative window display.
Cr Crossley said it was great to see local businesses involved in the competition.
“I’d like to congratulate all the entrants for their contribution in promoting the holiday season, which enhances the shopper experience and highlights Sale as a great place to visit,” she said.
“We had a great response and next year, I’d encourage other business owners who are decorating their windows to take part in this fun competition.”
