Man interviewed over fatal Lakes Entrance collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have spoken to a man on Wednesday in relation to the fatal collision in Lakes Entrance on Tuesday night.

An 81-year-old presented to Lakes Entrance police around 10am, believing he may have been involved in the incident.

The man has been interviewed and released pending further enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.

A passer-by found a man, aged between 40 and 50, lying on the side of the Princes Highway, 100 metres east of Weeks Rd, just after 7pm on Tuesday night.

Paramedics attended to the injured man but he died at the scene.
