The State Mixed Fours Championship was decided on Sunday at Maffra Bowls Club with a win to Ken Sceney and Jan Morton against Mick Partridge and Camille Rowan.
The game was a close contest. Sceney and Morton moved away halfway through the game, and as well as they played Partridge and Rowan could not bridge the gap. Sceney and Morton will now go onto the regional finals in February.

Saturday pennant returns
Saturday pennant returns on January 16.
With only five matches to be played before the finals , every game will be hard fought.
Three clubs in Section 1 are striving to make third or fourth, Sale White and Maffra look reasonably safe in first and second spots, but, Stratford, Sale Golf and Sale Blue will go down to the wire in their efforts to make up the four.
Yarram, Sale White , Heyfield and Sale Blue seem to be safe, the top two spots will still be the aim for these clubs .
Stratford and Maffra have an outside chance of getting to the four. A lot of luck must go their way to do it,
As witnessed all season this has been a very close competition between Maffra, Sale White, Sale Blue, Yarram Green,Yarram Gold and Rosedale.
Only 6.5 points separate sixth placed Rosedale and ladder leader Maffra, so the final four is up for grabs between those six clubs,
Finals will begin on February 20.
