Riverslea head-on crash

AN 83-year-old man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with severe head and chest injuries after a head-on collision in Riverslea on Monday evening.

Two 22-year-old men, from Heyfield and Leongatha, were taken to hospital for observation, but later released.

The Major Collision Investigations Unit examined the scene, which was on a bend on a sealed road.

Police are still investigating the cause of the incident.

A 51-YEAR old woman was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with fractures after the vehicle she was driving crashed at Fulham on Wednesday morning.

Police said her car left the road at the Myrtlebank Rd and Sale-Heyfield Rd intersection about 4.30am, and hit an embankment.

The car rolled onto its driver’s side, trapping the driver.

Routine police investigations are continuing.
