THOSE in the local music scene are seeing an uptake in new and retuning faces to the industry, as many people turn to instruments to help fill the isolation void.

With no sport to play or places to travel to, music has provided an outlet to those cooped up indoors.

Guitar remains one of the most popular instruments, and thanks to the advent of technology, hundreds of online tutorials are just a click away.

David and Dawn Stothers from Stothers Music and Hi-Fi, Sale, said entry-point instruments were in high demand.
