VCE students and teachers can book priority COVID-19 vaccination appointments from today.
The priority vaccination program will take place from Tuesday, September 7, until Friday, September 17, and has been put in place to ensure senior students sitting year 12 exams have certainty and are ready for exams.
As part of this program, year 12 students will be given priority booking access at state-run clinics, as will their teachers and examiners.
Students and teachers will need to book appointments, as walk-ups are not available as part of this blitz.
The health and education departments will work directly with schools, and students and parents will receive the advice on how to arrange a booking through their schools.
The Health Department will host a live webinar for final year school students, their families and educators to provide information on COVID-19 vaccination.
People can join the free webinar this Friday, September 9, from 6pm to 7pm, by registering here.
Topics covered include the development and safety of vaccines, accessing and consenting to a vaccination, and how to book appointments.
There will also be a question and answer session with a panel.
