Yarram goes top

THE topsy turvy season in North Gippsland Saturday pennant bowls has continued as Sale White handed Sale Golf its first loss.

Following its strong win at Stratford, Yarram has replaced Sale Golf at the top of the section one table.

Stratford, with its loss, has dropped to sixth position.

Maffra defeated Heyfield Blue at home to move into fifth, Sale Blue is in fourth position, while the two Heyfield teams languish at seventh and eighth.

SALE Blue remains in top spot in section two with a handy eight-point margin ahead of Yarram.

Wurruk had its first win of the season and jumped two spots on the table.

THE closeness of section three was played out to the full, when three matches were decided by one shot only on Saturday.

Sale Blue still sits top closely followed by Maffra and Sale White.
