Bombers fly east for final round

BOISDALE-Briagolong will travel to Lucknow to complete its East Gippsland football season.

The Bombers have been reeling in the second half of the season, but a win could put them above the Magpies into sixth place on the ladder.

Both teams will be unable to make the finals, after Orbost-Snowy Rovers’ win at Lakes Entrance secured its place in the top four.

STRATFORD will host Lakes Entrance.

The Swans will finish on the bottom of the ladder, but have plenty of rising stars to keep an eye on for next year, while Lakes will be wondering where it all went wrong.

While the Seagulls are guaranteed a place in the finals, they have lost their past five matches.

ORBOST-Snowy Rovers will face a challenging match against Paynesville.

Both teams are in excellent form, and while Paynesville is looking stronger, the Blues are on fire.

Regardless of the result, these teams’ semi-final opponent are set in stone.

The Gulls will meet minor premier Lindenow in the second semi-final, while the Blues will play Lakes Entrance in the knock-out first semi.

LINDENOW will play Wy Yung in what should be a good warm-up for the Cats before they take the field at full strength for the second semi-final next week.
