LOCAL bowls is back into the swing of things, with the North Gippsland Bowls Division hosting two of its finals at the weekend.
Heyfield’s Shane Holmes and Max Page won the men’s pairs championship, defeating Sale’s Wally Hudson and Rod Morris 19 shots to seven in the final at Maffra on Saturday.
The men’s fours final on Sunday at Sale went down to the final bowl, with the Maffra team of Lyal Roberts, Michael Roberts, Ken Darcy and Jim Hill victorious 14-13 over West Sale’s Nathan Stewart, John Simic, Leno Binotto and Gary Fox.
