Using nuclear to move to low carbon?

Tony Smith glosses over important details in his contribution to the climate change debate.

For example, the United States has made full use of fracking shale oil reserves to move towards self sufficiency for their oil needs.

And China is making greater use of nuclear energy and hydro power to achieve cleaner air.

In short, closer to home, there may be substantial grounds for reviewing the need for such projects as the Mitchell River dam.

And ‘the fundamental transition to a low carbon economy’ would clearly be advanced by making greater use of our bountiful nuclear resources.
