LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
HOW fortunate we are to have such a wonderful pool and gym set up in Sale.
Being a regular user of the Aqua Energy pool and gym, I am aware of the popularity of the pool and fitness classes for early mornings and after school and work.
The down time is during the day when most child carers could benefit.
Aware now that the creche is going to remain open, I am concerned that there will still be a financial cost.
Within the gym we now have whiz bang new rubber flooring, apparently needed for unknown reasons to the public, enough equipment to train the whole population of Sale and fitness classes to suit all ages at any time of the day and evening.
Surely it is now time to spend some money advertising.
As I walk down the street, it makes me well aware of the need to educate the public about health and fitness, yet I hear the cr che is poorly utilised.
Do carers of small children know about the service?
What advertising has been done?
Where are the signs inside and outside the building to inform the public?
How about advertising in the local paper, articles to promote the creche and maybe even pamphlets at hospitals, play groups, kindergartens and schools?
Providing a cr che not only gives the carers time to improve their fitness, but children have the opportunity to socialise.
Come on Aqua Energy.
Get out there and promote your wonderful centre.
