LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Those steel road barriers are another enormous waste of tax money, making it dangerous.
It’s dangerous for traffic at night, as kangaroos now hop along the road until they find an opening along the road barrier.
The other day I hit my first kangaroo in 20 years, and over the next 200 meters lay another five to six dead kangaroos evidence of the danger of the barriers.
The barriers are dangerous for cars and (school) buses to stop on the now narrow strip between the new road barrier and the traffic, as they can’t open their doors
They’re dangerous for motorbikes (and cars) as drivers and riders likely get killed when hitting those barriers, instead of landing in soft grass and shrubs.
