Roundabout is plonked in the wrong spot

Lynene Duncan, Stratford

THERE seems to be only negative outcomes from plonking a roundabout where VicRoads has in Stratford.

There’s the impact of noise on the houses there, of big trucks especially, gearing down, manoeuvring and accelerating away, all on their doorsteps.

The traffic will bank up because of the ridiculous negotiating process of B-doubles.

The town will suffer as a result of reduced parking.

People won’t stop.

With less parking, drivers will push on causing driver fatigue.

It’s just another nonsensical, outrageous VicRoads waste of money.

Why not just lower the speed limit?

Four 50kmh signs, and job done.
