‘Unnecessary strife and harm’ for hospital

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

IN my view, unnecessary strife and harm is being caused to Central Gippsland Health.

There are those of us in the community who have been here for a long time.

No institution is perfect.

However, a lesson that I learned early in my career is that the institution is bigger than the person.

In short, we have a wonderful hospital with amazing staff who do a brilliant job and whose patients are forever grateful.

Of course there will always be some who will seek to find fault.

That is the nature of us humans.

Let us continue to serve our community as we have done for 150 years.

PS: On Saturday night, instead of going to the hospital’s 150th anniversary gala ball, I was in the emergency department of the Sale hospital.

I would like to publicly thank the nursing and medical staff for their prompt and caring attention.
